Honorable Mention
To my delight, I discovered today that LA Cheapskate was given credit recently on Fresh & Easy's Blog as a great reading source for how to battle the recession blues with good food! Aww Shucks! Read all about it here. The blog post is titled Good Food in Frugal times published April 26th. I've even been contacted by a representative to see if I want to receive advance notice of upcoming specials. Do I? Uh, let me think about this one.... YES!

Oh, and we made your peanutty tofu broccoli dish last night.
I love the videos.. kind of feels like we're "making dinner together." :)
I managed to find a gluten-free peanut sauce (w/out soy suace, which has wheat)... unfortunately, a bottle of that runs about 4.50.
Oh, and instead of carrots, I tossed in a bunch of fresh spinach right near the end. Delicious.
And yeah, we'll be making this again.
Even with the more expensive sauce, and the non-sale tofu (80 cents? wow... try 3.50)... the whole shebang still cost less than 10 bucks for the 2 of us. Not too shabby!
